The restaurant needs to update their On line menu. The omelette comes with toast other restaurants at least offer fruit or potatoes. Also where we like the restaurant the service is extremely slow and the server we had was not friendly. So offer something with your breakfast rather that a lonely egg sitting on a plate. Once again update your online menu with the correct prices.

VERY unassuming place, even the look of the desserts. The desserts had VERY good aftertaste and subtle tastes that I've never had. As a foodie, I'm impressed and have to try more. My 1st Millie Feuille and it was BOMB! 1,000 layers dessert, powered sugar explodes after chewing through the crispy layers of dessert. Glad I reserved the last 2 so I could enjoy them. Really great chocolate mouse bomb so deep chocolate it tasted like ganache. Subtle aftertaste of their creme brulee, Chocolate mouse was nice tho with a coffee taste. The HARDEST cookies ever yet I guess that's french style like hard bread and it was chocolatey tasty My life has been an awesome experienced UNPARALELLED amongst common men, thank you Taste of Paris. And this all took place under a setup of the Eiffel Tower, "very nice" as Borat would say!

A diverting cafe to get you out of the doldrums and feeling the joie de vivre of Taste of Paris? In the mood for French food? Let's escargot. A bright spot in an otherwise dreary and mostly vacant strip mall, Taste of Paris will have you feeling like you're under the Eiffel Tower. Like, literally, under it. It's zany, but a bit of a hazard. A person with a walker had a difficult time, and the wait staff is in the habit of tucking their head to stay clear. A bit small, the pastry case beckons with enticing displays of pastries and cakes. We were seated under the tower. I ordered French onion soup and crepes with mushrooms and spinach. It's accompanied by either French fries or vegetables. I ordered the veggies which were green beans. My companion ordered a quiche Lorraine and side salad. My soup was in a petite crock with a crisp layer of bubbly cheese. It was ok, a bit bland but otherwise hot with lots of onions. Perhaps a slice of thick bread in the bottom would have served better than the sliced bread that was used. I loved the crepes, filled with buttery mushrooms and spinach in a rich sauce. The green beans far exceeded my expectations -- these were not canned but fresh and toasty grilled and buttery. I only ate one crepe (quite generously sized) but I finished the green heans. My companion enjoyed their quiche, warmed throughout and generously loaded with bacon and cheese. Generous portion too! We purchased some pastries for takeaway: croissant bread pudding, Paris Brest and almond croissants. I'll leave you in suspense as to how they taste. If the sight of them are any indication, they are (chef's kiss) magnifique. Open at 6am (love it!) to 9pm. Forget the passport for a Taste of Paris.

It is fun to go to a French inspired restaurant for breakast or lunch, but it could be so much nicer. The oilcloths have been on the tables for years and most of the decor is from the old pizza place that used to be there You have to walk down some cracked cement steps to get to the door and the parking area is a pot holed nightmare. I got a flat tire there once. The food and especially the coffee are good but the pastries are very expensive. The owner chef has worn a dirty apron every time I have seen him so I wonder what the kitchen is like. The restaurant has so much potential and I wish he would spruce it up. I still go there once in a while because it's so different and it is worth a visit.

Great coffee and great pastries. I recommend the opera cake and also the eclairs. I ordered the chicken cordon blue, it was okay. The coffee and espresso are legit. Go there for the sweets.

We stopped in for the first time and had a wonderful experience! We had really great food, I ordered a savory and very flavorful mushroom and spinach crepe with Swiss cheese, and my husband ordered eggs Benedict, on a croissant, light and fluffy eggs, with a light and flavorful hollandaise sauce, clearly the owner knows what he is doing in the kitchen. I mentioned it was my birthday and the owner gave me macrons for my birthday! We even left with a beautiful cake! The service was warm and friendly, I like that they give you time and checked but, didn't rush you, let you enjoy your meal without interrupting the conversation constantly to ask questions. The best part, the owner came out to ask how I liked the crepes. Which I loved. They have a lunch and dinner menu, we will definitely be back. Love that we sat under the eiffel tower, very nice atmosphere. I was transported to a little cafe under the coffee tower. Nothing in the area to match it.

I've been wanting to try this place for a long time now. The stars aligned and I was finally able to get here, on Father's Day, for breakfast. It didn't disappoint. This is my new favorite restaurant, and the only place I would consider paying for breakfast, in Lake County IL. The banana French toast was amazing. The scrambled eggs were the best tasting eggs I have ever had in my life. They must have come from special chickens, and they were prepared perfectly. The Florentine omelette was also delicious. I didn't try the crepes or the eggs Benedict, because there was nothing left to try. The coffee was very good. Nadine was our waitress and she was lovely. She did have what appeared to be a French accent. As described by others it is a French themed restaurant, and you can sit near what looks like the bottom of the Eiffel Tower. It's not a fancy place, and there is outdoor seating. The pastries looked great. I could barely sleep as I was dreaming of these pastries, and wondering if I should stop by for one on my way to work. Good thing I didn't because they are closed on Monday. I will definitely go back and I can't wait to try dinner. I could see several bottles of wine from were I was sitting. I should point out they have bloody Mary's and mimosas and other drinks like that. I suppose the only thing that was missing was a little more cream on the table, and maybe some garnish for the dishes to make them look even better, but don't be fooled by my pictures. The food was delicious even if that doesn't come across in the photos.

We came here at 8:30am on a Sunday morning for a lite breakfast! We got the quiche and a eggs Benedict on a croissant with a side of potatoes. The quiche was great! I would absolutely get it again. The croissant was good - nothing crazy. I personally didn't love the potatoes because I don't believe they were freshly cooked. The staff was nice and the owner even came out to talk to people in the restaurant. The ambiance is interesting, as it's Paris themed inside. This was overall a good experience.
